As-Traded Vehicles
At Cochrane Nissan, we aim to offer vehicles for every type of buyer and budget. Occasionally, we offer select vehicles on an “As-Traded, Where-Is” basis.
We believe in full transparency, so here’s exactly what that means:
What Does “As-Traded, Where-Is” Mean?
An As-Traded vehicle is sold in its current condition at the time of sale, without warranty or additional reconditioning performed by the dealership beyond what has already been disclosed.
These vehicles are typically older, higher-kilometer, or may require additional repairs. They are priced accordingly.

Inspection & Repair Estimates
Every As-Traded vehicle:
- Has undergone a Mechanical Fitness Assessment
- Includes a written estimate outlining the repairs required to meet inspection standards
- Is fully disclosed to the buyer prior to purchase
Buyers are encouraged to carefully review the inspection report and repair estimate and ask any questions before completing their purchase.

Important Terms of Purchase
No Warranties
The vehicle is sold without any warranties or guarantees, either expressed or implied. This includes:
- No warranty of merchantability
- No warranty of fitness for a particular purpose
- No guarantee of roadworthiness
- No future repair coverage
No Recourse After Sale
Once purchased, all responsibility for the vehicle transfers to the buyer.
Cochrane Nissan is not responsible for any defects, repairs, breakdowns, or associated costs that arise after the sale — including issues discovered after the vehicle leaves the dealership.
Final Sale
All As-Traded vehicle purchases are final sale, with no returns or refunds.

Is an As-Traded Vehicle Right for You?
These vehicles may be a good fit for:
- Mechanically inclined buyers
- Customers looking for lower-priced transportation
- Buyers who plan to complete repairs themselves
- Project or secondary vehicle shoppers
Our goal is to ensure every customer fully understands what they are purchasing. If you have questions about an As-Traded vehicle, our team is happy to walk you through the inspection and repair estimate before you make your decision.
